The Victory Day on or around May 9 is one of the most important holidays in Russia. This day, I suspect, can be terribly abused. Russia's successes in the Ukraine war do not allow Putin to save face and talk about victory. I suspect he is abusing this day and the occasion for Russia's general mobilization.
